Katlego K Kolanyane-Kesupile is a 2015 CACE Africa Writivist, Trans* ARTivist, writer, musician, and theatre producer. She is also a contentiously proud Motswana. She is founder of the Queer Shorts Showcase Festival, producer and host of the Queer Me Out podcast, and a 2013/14 Best of Botswana “Performing Arts” Artist honouree. Born and bred in Francistown, she received her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Dramatic Arts from University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) in 2010, and relocated to Gaborone for rest but landed up as an activist for LGBTQI visibility and sensitisation. Her broad body of writing has appeared in Peolwane Magazine, The Kalahari Review, The Washington Blade and AfroPUNK.com, and she is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community Gaborone Hub.
